Hosted by Air Alliance Houston, the event will begin with networking.
Ther will be a screening of the hour-long film, “Idle Threat,” on the passage of an idling ordinance in New York City.
After the film, there will be a short panel by Dr. Latrice Babin, Environmental Toxicologist with Harris County, and Aaron Wieczorek, an environmental attorney with the City of Houston discussing the proposed Houston Idling Ordinance.
The venue for the Houston Green Film Series is the Rice Media Center, 2030 University Blvd, near Stockton and University.
Doors open at 6:30pm for conversation, networking, and a light meal. The screening starts at 7:00pm, and the panel discussion follows.
A light dinner will be served, courtesy of Dr. Pat Speck and Dry Bones Cafe. The film is free to the public, though $5 donations are suggested and kindly appreciated.
