Join Air Alliance Houston, Fort Bend Community Action Network, and partners Public Citizen, Environment Texas and Sierra Club for this Virtual Townhall on NRG’s W.A. Parish Coal Plant, and its pollution effects on communities and the environment.

When: Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 6:30 PM

Where: Online via Zoom – Register Here

This is the largest coal plant in Texas, and it releases copious amounts of Sulfur Oxide (SO2) and Particulate Matter 2.5. Poor air quality from this coal-burning power plant actively affects people’s health in Fort Bend – and in Houston. The pollution even impacts air quality and visibility all the way out to Big Bend National Park.

At this event, we will discuss the impact of this pollution – and how you can join us to protect your health and protect our national parks.
