Please join us for a conversation about Harris County’s recent efforts to improve regional response to chemical disasters with AAH Executive Director Dr. Bakeyah Nelson and our guest speaker, Policy Analyst Dr. Aaron Dunn of the County Judge’s Office.
Last month, Harris County released a new independent report analyzing the county’s ability to respond to and communicate with the public about disasters at facilities handling hazardous chemicals.
Commissioned in the wake of the devastating March fire at the Intercontinental Terminals Facility in Deer Park, the Gap Analysis outlines steps that may be taken to improve regional resilience to chemical disasters and protect Harris County residents.
At our next Breakfast on Thursday, August 29th, Dr. Aaron Dunn from the County Judge’s office will join Air Alliance Houston’s Executive Director Dr. Bakeyah Nelson in discussing the findings and recommendations of the new Gap Analysis Report.
Come hear about the current risks and challenges, the steps the county has taken to better protect our communities since the release of the report, and what they plan to do moving forward.
