AirMail is a powerful new tool for real-time air permit tracking and advocacy in Harris County developed by Air Alliance Houston and January Advisors.
Join us for a live demo to learn how you can use it:
Fri, Sept 16, 2022 from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM: REGISTER HERE
The current administrative system in Texas for issuing air permits, as overseen by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), is hard to understand and tends to stifle public participation.
AirMail seeks to fill important gaps in the TCEQ’s public participation process. The tool helps ensure that those most directly affected by air pollution, often communities of color and lower income, are aware of air permits proposed in their neighborhoods and the options for public participation, so they can act quickly and collaboratively to protect their health.
Whether you’re a community member, elected official, journalist or advocate, we expect AirMail to be a useful tool for you. We hope you will join us to learn more about what it can do for you and share what more you’d like to see as we consider ways to further develop the tool.
A finales de mes organizaremos una versión en español de este seminario web. Esté atento a la invitación.
