Texas House Transportation Committee Hearing for HB 4386

HB 4386 will have a hearing this Wednesday 4/26 in the House Transportation Committee in the Capitol. This bill would prohibit TxDOT from taking property from vulnerable neighborhoods for highway projects. Here is a one-pager with more information about the bill.

If you want to go to Austin to attend the House Transportation Committee meeting to register your support and provide spoken comments, please review the itinerary below. Itinerary for April 26th Trip to Austin
6:45am: Meet up to ride the bus
7:00am: Leave for Austin
10:00am: Arrive in Austin
10:30a-?: Attend the House Transportation Committee to drop a card and give comments in support of HB 4386, which would prohibit the displacement of vulnerable communities for highway projects.
12:30pm: We will have boxed lunches during the hearing. After we finish giving comments on HB 4386, we will pack up and head home.
Time TBD: We will return to the meeting location
