Texas Regional Haze: Valentine’s Rally in Dallas

February 14 @ 10:30 am

Join us in Dallas on Valentine’s Day for a rally outside of the EPA Region 6 headquarters!

We’ll deliver Valentines urging the EPA to take the boldest possible action to bring Texas into compliance with the Clean Air Act. This includes requiring dirty coal plants like Martin Lake, W.A. Parish, and other local industrial sites, which have avoided Clean Air Act regulations for decades, to stop polluting our communities.

Participating Organizations:

  • Air Alliance Houston
  • Sierra Club
  • Public Citizen
  • National Parks Conservation Alliance
  • Earthjustice

Speakers:

  • Emma Pabst, Sierra Club: Clean Air Act Overview and Opportunities
  • Paulette Goree, affected community member: Martin Lake’s Pollution
  • Alondra Torres, Air Alliance Houston: W.A. Parish’s Pollution

The Clean Air Act demands that Texas work with EPA to reduce this health-harming pollution, but for decades Texas has escaped accountability. Join us in delivering Valentines to EPA urging them to bring Texas’ polluting power plants and their toxic emissions into compliance as soon as possible!

Because everyone has a right to breathe clean air.
