Learn what’s being done – and what more the legislature can do – to protect your health and the environment. Your health is at risk. Chemical explosions, toxic pollution, cancer clusters, and COVID-19 have impacted the health and well-being of Houston area residents – and now, a massive winter storm that has jeopardized the lives of people across the state of Texas. We must see policies put into law that prioritize people first.
Our legislators will provide important updates to you on what they are doing in Austin to provide relief to our communities, clean up pollution, and ensure that you are protected from chemical disasters and toxic messes.
Presented by the Healthy Port Communities Coalition, which includes Achieving Community Tasks Successfully, Air Alliance Houston, Coalition of Community Organizations, East Harris County Empowerment Council, Public Citizen, and Texas Health and Environment Alliance.
