At Air Alliance Houston, we believe everyone has a right to breathe clean air—and that people should have access to the information and tools they need to advocate for that right.
As our campaigns and community work continue to grow, we’re always looking for better ways to connect people with timely, easy-to-use information. That’s why we’re partnering with QRCodeChimp through its ULTIMA plan to make our communications more accessible and easier to navigate.
One of the QRCodeChimp features we use most is dynamic QR Codes. Unlike static QR codes, dynamic codes allow our team to update the information behind a code without having to replace the code itself. This gives us the flexibility to keep community members connected to the most current information about upcoming events, public meetings, permit opposition opportunities, advocacy toolkits, and other resources.
For our team, this means we can create a QR code once and continue updating the information it connects people to as a campaign develops. For our communities, it means a single QR code can serve as a reliable entry point to the information they need to take action.
We’re also exploring QRCodeChimp’s other tools to help us organize and segment information across our campaigns. As we work on multiple air quality issues throughout the Houston region, making information easier for our team to share and easier for communities to find is an important part of our communications strategy.
Technology alone doesn’t create change. But when the right tools make it easier for people to find information, understand an issue, and take action, they can help strengthen community advocacy.
