Houston, TX — Abril 30, 2026 — Air Alliance Houston (AAH), in partnership with regional advocates, community leaders, and national funders, will announce during a press conference details about the expansion of its AirMail alert system across the Gulf Coast. 

AirMail is a first-of-its-kind platform designed to bridge the information gap in environmental health. AirMail ensures that communities —especially those historically overburdened by pollution—receive timely and easy to understand updates about nearby industrial activity and permit decisions.

With new funding secured for 2026, AirMail will expand beyond its original reach in Harris County to include Corpus Christi, Beaumont, Freeport, Galveston, Texas City, and communities across Louisiana. This expansion builds on the program’s strong impact in 2025, when more than 40,000 households in Harris and Fort Bend counties received AirMail alerts.

“This relaunch represents a critical step forward in empowering Gulf Coast communities with the information they need to protect their health and advocate for cleaner air,” said Jennifer Hadayia, Executive Director of Air Alliance Houston.

Air Alliance Houston was initially awarded government funding in Octubre 2024 to expand AirMail across the Gulf Coast. However, that funding was wrongfully terminated by the EPA in Mayo 2025 (a class action lawsuit that is still in progress). This 2026 relaunch is made possible through renewed investment by organizations such as Jacob and Terese Hershey Foundation, David Rockefeller Fund, and the Tides Foundation. Elizabeth Love of the Hershey Foundation is among the confirmed speakers to announce the initiative’s re-launch.
