Crystal Ngo
Environmental Justice Outreach Coordinator
832-599-7027 ext.422
As the EJ Outreach Coordinator, Crystal is responsible for engaging community residents and organizations as environmental decision-makers through the Environmental Justice Leadership Lab. To aid the organization’s goal of expanding language justice, she will provide Vietnamese translations to materials.
Growing up on the southwest side of Houston, Crystal wanted to ensure people had access to clean essential resources and help sustain the environment for future generations. With capacity building and community at the core of her previous work, Crystal refocused her love for the environment through an equity lens to land at AAH.
Crystal received a dual degree in Environmental Sustainability and Economics from The University of the South: Sewanee at Sewanee, TN.
Before AAH, Crystal served as an AmeriCorps member for City Year Sacramento, an education nonprofit that strives toward educational equity along with promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity for people to feel a sense of belonging.
When not at work, Crystal is a travel bug, on an adventure somewhere, playing her ukulele, and cooking or trying out new restaurants.
