PRELIMINARY HEARING: Soto Ready Mix, Inc. Concrete Batch Plant Permit Application

Soto Ready Mix, Inc., has applied to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for an Air Quality Standard Permit, Registration No. 151715, which would authorize construction of a permanent concrete batch plant at 3411 De Soto Street.

Texas 77007On January 23rd, the TCEQ will hold a preliminary hearing concerning the Soto Ready Mix concrete batch plant.

At this hearing, residents will have an opportunity to make their case to be included as parties to the final hearing where a decision will be made on the construction of the plant.

PLEASE NOTE: Even if you have been previously rejected by the TCEQ for inclusion in the final hearing, there is still an opportunity for the judge to hear your claims and decide to include you in the process. It is therefore important that you come and make your case!

We encourage ALL community members, including those not giving testimony, to come to the hearing to let the judge see the community’s opposition. Remember, we are stronger in numbers!
