​The Houston Parking Reform Coalition cordially invites you to celebrate a future with fewer parking lots. Park(ing) Day is a global event where citizens, artists, and designers temporarily transform parking spaces into tiny, temporary public parks and social spaces.

Saturday, October 3, 10 AM to 2 PM at 3401 Harrisburg Blvd.; live music, games, food, and drinks, all in the footprint of a parking lot.

Chapter26 sets how many spaces every new building must provide on its own lot, which is why so much of the East End is paved before anyone decides what to put there. Come see what that same ground can hold: homes, a patio, a corner store, shade, and space that soaks up rain instead of shedding it. Free and open to everyone. Bring a neighbor.
